The Council of Canadians U of A Chapter is hosting two special advance screenings of the new film Bottled Life: Nestle's Business with Water. The film explores Nestle’s global water business and the impacts Nestlé is having on communities around the world.

Say No to a U of A Honourary Degree for NestleThe University of Alberta has announced that on March 1 it will award an honorary degree to Peter Brabeck-Letmathe, the Chair of Nestlé, the world’s largest multinational food and water corporation and the largest bottled water corporation in the world. Hundreds of students, professors, alumni and concerned citizens around the world have contacted the University to express their outrage.
Organizers encourage you to register to attend the "Who Speaks for Water" event Mr. Brabeck-Letmathe will join other honourary degree recipients Steve E.Hrudey and Sunita Narain in a panel discussion titled "Who Speaks for Water?".
